Here's to waiting!!!

Well after many days of stressing and debating the pros and cons to building vrs. buying I am not proud to say we are no further ahead. Well that is not entirely true, we are going to look into both markets and see which one hits us first. We are officially putting in our first offer on a house in the South end this afternoon. As I write this, I am sure our real estate agent is working away hard at drafting up the offer. It is exciting to think that by tomorrow we may be the proud new owners of a house. It is quiet a nice house with all the bells and whistles. Granite counter top, hardwood flooring, central air and vac., 3 bedrooms with a bathroom off the master and a fully finished basement with 2 bedrooms. Not to forget the fact that it has not one, but 2 gas fireplaces. One in the living room and one in the family room downstairs. It also comes with all appliances including a new washer and dryer and dishwasher. New windows and a nice backyard with place for a hot tub and a double extra large garage. We put in a offer that is 30 thousand over asking and who knows if we will even come close. We are putting conditions on it and that may be the ticket that kills our offer in the end, but for our peace of mind we think it is best.

So here's to hoping we get the house. Next things next, we are going to ride out the market and see what it brings us. If it brings us a profit then we will still build in White City and live happily ever after, lol......we will see!!!!!!

Crazy Scarth Street in our Garage!

Well let me start by saying we had an awesome weekend! We had a garage sale this weekend and made over $400..closer to $500 between two couples. Who would think that the junk in their basement would be worth so much. Well I guess I can't say junk. It was pretty good stuff, just that after getting married we had a lot of surplus crap that we don't need anymore.

You wouldn't imagine the crazy people that we met this weekend at the garage sale....you would have thought that you were on scarth street.

On another note.......the building issue is still stressing me out. We are now debating over what side of Regina to build on. We have a lot in White City, but recently found some lots out at Deer Valley (on the west side of Regina) that are cheaper and overlook the valley and the golf course. WOW....we drove out there yesterday and were just blown away at the location. Amazing. Jamie is at an interview today for a job at Regina Beach and if she happens to get the job then we may be moving out to Deer Valley!!!!!!

We also may be able to get a friend of Jamie's dad to build our house. That way we can do a lot of the interior finishes and save a load of money. I guess until tonight when Jamie hears about the job we shouldn't make any concrete decisions. I will have to post again tomorrow to let you know all the details!!!

Baseball Fever

Well it is almost officially summer and I can say that I have already been burnt a few times and am enjoying the sun...when it is not raining. What I am not enjoying is our ball playing skills. I remember being on a team that never won anything a few years back but we at least all drank like fish before, during and after the game. This year we seem to show up, stand around the field, watch the birds fly by and when the game is over at a whopping score of tons to none...not for us, we stand around saying SHIT!

I think we need to start drinking more at the games so when we loose we can say, well at least I got drunk and possibly begin to blame the lack of skills on the consumption of booze.

On another note, we are still looking for a builder. If you know of any let us know so we can get going on this thing.
